Commissioned Works

In order to encourage cellist-composers to write for their instrument, we commission two pieces each year: one from the patron of the edition, an experienced cellist-composer, and the second from a former intern.
Each of these works will be performed by a previous edition intern during the opening concert.
The interpretation work is here carried out in close collaboration between the composer and the musician, a rare opportunity for instrumentalists.

These works are published in partnership with 22D Music and available for sale on Planète Partitions, thus building over the years a body of works for single cello within reach of today's and tomorrow's musicians.
